I was responsible for the development of the new website. Together with a developer I started with gathering all the requirements, set up wireframes for all different sorts of pages and developed a SEO-strategy wich is still providing 85% of the traffic. Within a few months after the new website was published the amount of visitors grew from 0 to 400.000+ per month.Leadgenerator;
This client is specialized in lead generation in many different fields. With a database of more than 3.000.000 people I was responsible for the revenues of email marketing. After a few months I also got the chance to develop new concepts and was rewarded purely based on performance. For this client I have set up more than 10 new websites together with a designer, a developer and a content creator. We succesfully rolled out the concepts in over 25 countries in 20+ different languages. In september 2013 I started working for my first e-commerce client. For my previous employer I did work for many e-commerce clients but this was the first one to acquire for my own business.
This client is specialized in air cleaners, humidifiers and dehumidifiers for profesional applications and in homes or living areas.
The Google Ads campaigns where outsourced to a online marketing agency wich focused only on measurable conversions in Google Ads. In that time converions in Google Ads where only based on the ‘last-click-model’. By researching the Analytics data en comparing different attribution models I found out that for this client Google Ads was very important in the beginning of the customer journey. Once we had the visitor in the webshop I could retarget with dynamic ads. The ROAS of Google ads increased from 300% to 850% within a few weeks. In the first year we managed to double the revenue without increasing the Google Ads budget. Within 3 years the revenue of this webshop increased with 800%!March 2014 - Started as a trainer

After seeing a post on LinkedIn of someone searching people specialized in online marketing I got the chance to give a demo training. This demo was very well received and I started training people in SEO, SEA, CRO, e-mail marketing, display advertising, affiliate marketing, social media, etc.
Beside the revenues of giving this trainings it also became a very good lead generator. Many former ‘students’ contacted me to help them out with their online marketing. Since traditional media was being less and less consumed a lot of publishers struggled with adapting to this ‘new’ media landscape. Accountmanagers where used to sell adds in newspapers and now had to sell display inventory. Together with Storm marketing group we developed a training/consultancy course to help accountmanagers adapting to this ‘new’ form of advertising. From starting with the theory we quickly focused on practical situations to not only learn them something about online marketing but also insuring this knowledge could be used in daily opperations.

Similiar to publishers universities where also struggling with the subject online marketing. Most teachers had none or very few knowledge/experience in this field. By training teachers they where able to transfer this knowledge to their students. There has always been a gap between business and education but in the field of online marketing this gap was considerably bigger.

Training teachers about online marketing inspired me to develop a e-learning platform for students and to support teachers more intensively. Together with a UX-designer and a developer I created the website, the e-learning platform and wrote all the content. In the first year I managed to sell it to 3 universities that obliged students to buy a license. Over 3.600 students have used my content on the e-learning platform to learn more about online marketing.
Beside providing content for the students I also trained teachers, provided them with sample answers on questions and assignments. I also made PowerPoint presentations that the teachers could use in class. By providing them with these materials the teachers needed less time to prepare their classes. The learning management system (LMS) gave teachers insights about their students progress and scores of the multiple choice tests.

Together with Google and How & Knower I’ve been given the opportunity to give the first face-to-face training in the Netherlands at the Hanze University. Around 300 students attended this pilot ‘Introduction to build your online presence’. Since the pilot has been succesfull many sessions followed at universities around the country.
July 2016 - After advising and implementing a new SEO-strategy the amount of sessions from google organic increased from an average of 90.000 to 230.000

After being invited to help this company with understanding their Analytics data and getting more insights in an efficient way I discovered some issues about the website that affected their SEO. Together with the webmaster we made some changes that resulted in a huge increase in their organic traffic from search engines. From an average of 90.000 sessions per month they grew to 230.000 sessions per month from organic traffic!

A regional publisher in the Netherlands was struggeling with targeting display ads over their own inventory. After reviewing their DFP account I wrote a report on how to use DFP more efficiently. This resulted in better targeting and filling a higher percentage of their inventory. It also helped the sales department since they could offer many more targeting options to their potential clients. Beside implementing the new DFP strategy I also trained the sales department on how to sell display advertising and becoming a real partner in online marketing for their clients. This even made the publisher rebranding its position amongst potential competition by being the first in line when their clients had any question about their online marketing efforts.

To further grow the amount of clients for my e-learning platform I developed a marketing strategy. A part of that strategy was producing video commercials to target teachers, deans and team leaders at universities. Due to the clear message and the higly specific targeting I gathered more than 50 sales qualified leads with a advertising budget of less than €1.200. The video was produced, filmed and edited by a professional partner.

A company in the Netherlands selling mattresses both online and offline approached me to help them maximizing their sales from the webshop. Before I started they had a monthly revenue between €50k and €60k. By optimizing their Google Ads campaign, product feed and product pages I managed to increase the revenue with 100% while only spending 20% more on Google Ads.

To improve the impact of the campaings they run for their clients I got invited to train the (online) media planners of the biggest independent media agency of the Netherlands.
Starting with expanding their knowledge I than set them to work on different cases of real clients. In teams of 3 they developed a ‘masterplan’ for their clients. The results where suprisingly good and could literally be send to their clients as they where.
Personally I was very happy with the result since I was a bit nervous before I started, I don’t doubt my knowledge but it’s not for nothing that the agency became the biggest of the country. One of my relations got to build a new website for this company in the automotive industrie. He approached me to make a scan of their Google Ads account to see if there was any chance for improvement.
After doing a online market research and a extensive keyword research I restructured the Google Ads account. Within 1 month the company was spending less and getting more quality leads out of the Google Ads campaigns.After two months the amount of conversions grew with 80% while the cost per conversion went down with more than 25%.
